Hyophorbe verschaffeltii - Spindle Palm
The Spindle Palm (Hyophorbe verschaffeltii) has a long, smooth, green crown shaft and elegantly looking, lightly recurved pinnate leaves. The trunk of the Spindle Palm starts to slightly swell in the middle. In its island home it is severely threatened by habitat loss.
