Quantity

The name Ylang-ylang alone is enough to make a connoisseur of fragrances scent this multifaceted, sweet and heavy fragrance of ‘exotic, tropics and dreams’. In nature, the perfume of Ylang-ylang flowers is an even greater pleasure- and much better than its essential oil from a flask, which is used in aroma- therapy for lowering the puls and breathing. Furthermore, it has an calming effect on both body and soul. The large, yellow flowers with their long, twisted petals look beautiful and can reach 8 cm in diameter. Already 3-4 year old plants start producing many flowers, preferentially during the warm summer months. Ylang-ylang grows as a slim shaped tree with upward growing to horizontal-level like branches. With increasing age, the branches bend down. Depending on temperatures in its winter quarter, Ylang-ylang is evergreen or drops leaves.
