Its name says it all: like a flock of blue butterflies, the flowers dance around the light green leafy crown of this deciduous shrub from spring to fall. The long, curved stamens rise like butterfly antennae above the five petals, four of which are light blue and one of which is dark blue at its tip. You can keep the shape of this magnificent shrub compact by regularly pruning young shoots. This will also increase the production of new buds and shoots during the summer. This African plant belongs to the family of verbenaceae and requires plenty of water and fertilizer. It is a low-maintenance plant with almost permanent blossom. Even beginners in growing potted plants will achieve very good results with Clerodenrum ugandense.
