Description

Eucalyptus is a very fast-growing and water-consuming plant that is used worldwide for forestry to drain areas. This also means that for cultivating it as ornamental plant in a pot or planted in a winter garden, a continuous and rich supply of water and fertilizer is essential. In return, Eucalyptus will please you with decorative leaves and aromatic fragrance that keeps the air clean and clear. Also, due to the essential oils in the leaves, insect pests are not interested in the firm and sturdy leaves: plant protection is usually not an issue with Eucalyptus. Although Eucalyptus is a very fast-growing tree, this should not keep owners of small winter gardens from buying one of the many sorts of Eucalyptus: they all can easily be pruned every year and reduced to the desired height.
