River Tamarind (Leucaena leucocephala), a robust winter garden plant, bears bipinnate leaves and ball-shaped yellow flowers, which grow single or in clusters from leaf axils and contrast beautifully against the dark leaves. The flowers are followed by fruits in the form of pods, which turn reddish-brown as they mature.
