The popular variegated Bougainvillea variety 'Raspberry Ice' convinces with white-green patterned leaves and red flowers.
If the brilliance of bougainvillea flowers alone isn't enough for you, you will love this variety with gorgeous variegated foliage. The leaves have white-green or yellow-green variegation, showing irregular patterns starting from the edges or the center of the leaves. We try out new variegated-leaf bougainvillea varieties each year to test their vigor and flowering ability. The two shown red- and orange-flowering hybrids passed the testing phase with flying colors. Since the naming/variety designations for bougainvillea are not internationally standardized, there is no recognized variety name for these two. They are listed as 'Variegata' forms, the red-flowered one as 'Raspberry Ice'.
Quality: variegated perennial bloomers, vigorous climbers or pruned as shrubs/standards
