The flowers of the Glory Flower can grow to a diameter of 6 cm. Depending on the angle of light entry they seem crimson or purple and are really unsurpassable- and that at a time when most other pot- or greenhouse-plants are faded. Its natural bloom is in midsummer and autumn, owners of a winter garden will be able to enjoy flowers in winter. If a trader offers you a fully abloom Princess Flower in spring then the gardener has used tricks for cultivating that you cannot reproduce. These plants, too, will in future not blossom before August. But the silvery haired, evergreen leaves with an reddish shimmer at the edge are a real eye-catcher, too. At a touch, they feel wonderfully soft. In order to limitate the usually very strong growth of shoots it is recommended to prune the shoots’ tips 2 to 3 times per year: in March, early May and at the end of June. Please note: our plants are not treated with growth-control agents and therefore grow according to their nature.
Quality: abundant purple flowers; silky-soft leaves
Use: in pots from May outside on balcony, terrace & garden. Alternatively all year in a heated greenhouse.
