Description

Just by thinking the name ‘Jasmine’ one can almost smell the finest flower perfumes. With a collection of various jasmine varieties it is no problem to enjoy the sweet fragrance all year round on the terrace or in the winter garden. The best known Jasmine is probably the Common or True Jasmine (Jasminum officinale). In southern Europe, this deciduous species is the most popular and is even grown commercially to extract the jasmine oil. The pinnate-leaved shoots change color to yellow in fall and can grow several meters in one year. They therefore need a strong climbing support that they will cover with countless white flowers in summer. We recommend placing this climber close to your favorite seat, so you can enjoy the stunning fragrance. Given some winter protection, this Jasmine is hardy enough to be planted in the garden. Its shoots normally freeze back in winter, but will reliably grow again in spring.
