Adenium obesum - Desert Rose, Impala Lily
Tip: The pink, red or white flowers of the desert roses (Adenium) appear almost effortlessly, because the desert plants need little care and attention as houseplants or in the winter garden.
Judging by its gray, thickend stem one might not expect this plants’ qualities: during the whole summer, up to 8 cm long pink, red or white (depending on variety) funnel-shaped flowers open in compact clusters at the end of shoots. During winter, when the leaves come down, these succulent plants should be kept dry. Owners of a conservatory can also change this dry period to the summer and then enjoy the bloom during winter, provided temperatures above 15 °C.
Quality: pink funnel-shaped flowers; easy to care succulent plant
Use: in pots from May outside on balcony, terrace - during winter in a winter quarter / greenhouse; all year in a heated greenhouse.
